A collection of glamorous outfits for your photo or video session
I’ve written a list of outfits below, which I can bring to each session, as there may be something you would like to use in your photos or videos.
For me, by far the most important element of any photo or video session is how the model is dressed. It’s worth putting a lot of effort into the outfits that you will wear during your session, with the aim of making your photos absolutely mind-blowing to your customers.
For many years I’ve been of the opinion that just about everybody looks about the same naked. If a photo or video is going to be special, it has to come from the costume. That is what is going to make it stand out from every other picture or video on the Internet.
Making the most of unlimited outfit changes
I tend to think of a photo session as a chance for a person to dress up and adopt a character, in much the same way as an actress puts on a costume to help create her role.
Perhaps in your day-to-life you are a Dr. Martens and 501s girl? Or maybe you prefer an alternative goth look, or possibly something more casual?
You will certainly look beautiful if you decide to wear any of these choices in your photos. However, a photo session can also be an opportunity to try on a new look for a few hours and create a somewhat fictional portrayal of yourself.
For example, selecting items from the list below, a popular secretary look might include black seamed stockings, a charcoal grey pinstripe miniskirt, a black ultra-sheer see-thru blouse with a lacy bra underneath, together with spiky high-heels, to create a super-glamorous fantasy look for yourself.
Variety is often key to appealing to the largest numbers of potential clients, so why not add a demure St. Trinian’s style school uniform set with a tartan mini and knee-length socks, and contrast this with a fiery dominatrix look in black leather thigh-length stiletto boots, fishnet tights, a sculpted black leather mini and a red latex top.
A simple pair of tight blue jeans, or a faded denim mini, or Levi’s hot pants, worn with a black lacy bra or a neon crop top, can be among the most uncomplicated and relatable outfits to add as part of your portfolio.
There’s also time for some outfits that are intentionally a bit silly and a bit of fun, such as a pair of 1980s style colourful leg warmers teamed with a florescent pink bikini for a sporty, health-conscious look.
This still leaves more than half the day to photograph all of your favourite lingerie: a selection of classic lacy bra and briefs sets, together with black stockings and skyscraper stiletto heels, are very often the ultimate sought-after outfits from prospective clients.
